Bournemouth is a beachbreak breaking against banks on both sides of the pier. Usually small and tame, however picks up bigger swell where the waves are break beyond the pier. The pier gives shelter from cross shore winds which usually means that one side is better than the other. The surf here can get very crowded so good surf etiquette is a must!
