Highcliffe consists of a set of waves between groynes. Shoreline is pebbled for most of these and can make it difficult to get in when the swell is big. Can get crowded sometimes.
Usually a worse wave than Bournemouth, but much quieter.
Intermediate, due to rocky shore
A scenic 45 minute drive from Southampton through the New Forest. Not very close to train lines but possible if dedicated.
Parking in large car park just above the beach, usually free and not too busy.
